Winner of the GauravGo X IGDC Game Connect Game Jam! 

Can you be the hero Earth needs? 

Pesky Asteroids! is a 2D hypercasual survival game in which you are tasked with protecting Earth from a relentless onslaught of asteroids with the help of the Moon! Click and Swipe on Asteroids to force them away, and use a plethora of awesome powerups at your disposal to protet the Earth from impending doom! 

The longer you (and the Earth) survive, the higher your score is. 

Features: 

• Fast-paced gameplay. 
• Click and Swipe on Asteroids to force them away. 
• Gain access to a multitude of cool powerups to prolong your survival. 
• Use the all-powerful Shockwave powerup to obliterate nearby asteroids! 
• Asteroids get destroyed each time they collide against the Moon! 

This game was developed for the GauravGo X IGDC Game Connect Odisha game jam 2024. As part of the jam's rules, we were tasked with incorporating 2-3 of the following themes in our project: 

1. Going Against the Flow 
2. Stuck Together 
3. Upside Down

Our game satisfies 2 of the aforementioned themes: 

1. Going Against the Flow - The Asteroids are moving towards the Earth, representing a constant flow that the player has to counteract by dragging them away. This creates a dynamic where the player is actively working against the flow of these objects to prevent them from reaching the Earth.

2. Stuck Together - Since the Moon is the Earth's satellite, it is essentially "stuck" with the planet. The Moon constantly revolves around the Earth in the game, acting as a form of protective barrier that destroys all asteroids should it come in contact with it.
