Grow Crops by Day, Survive by Night! 

Welcome to Fortune Farm! Where money grows on trees and crop-thirsty monsters stalk your farm come nightfall. Plant, water, and harvest crops, or build defences during the day, and defend your farm from monsters by night! 

You've all heard the saying, "Money does not grow on trees", - but in this game,  it absolutely does! Fortune Farm blesses you with a magical money tree that showers the player with money after intervals, enabling you to populate your farm with crops and defences, to fend off waves of enemies drawn to your crops when night falls.

Can you outsmart the creatures of the night and grow your ultimate crop empire? 

Features: 

• Day and Night Cycle - Manage your farm strategically each day by growing crops and surviving waves of enemies. Remember, you cannot farm at night!  
• Plant seeds, water, and harvest a wide variety of crops that possess unique abilities. 
• Protect your precious Money Tree, the heart of  your farm's wealth. If destroyed, the game is over! 
• Place walls around your farm to block enemy intruders, and safeguard your crops.
• Crops harvested? Sell them to make some cash! 
• 4 seasons - Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Certain crops can only be grown in particular seasons. 
• Beware of the Blood Moon event! Where double the amount of enemies spawn every 5 nights! 

Controls 

• Left Mouse Click - Selection and Placement of items and crops, Damage enemies

This game was developed for the KGeN Game Jam, in which we were tasked with developing a playable game in 3 months using atleast one of the following themes: 

1. Everything Falls Apart 
2. Stuck Together 
3. Handle with Care 
4. Invisible Connections 
5. The Sound of Silence 

We chose to incorporate Theme #3, Handle with Care for our project. The following emphasizes the theme: 

• Growing Crops - Crops require extra care, and must be watered everyday for them to grow completely for harvest and subsequent selling for profit. Not watering crops everyday will risk spoilage. 
• Money Tree - The Money Tree must be protected at all costs, as damage dealt to it reduces its health bar. The game is over when the health bar is exhausted.
