From a single cell drifting in primordial waters, to the dawn of human civilization, EVOLVE lets you rewrite the story of life itself.  Influence evolution, shape ecosystems, and guide entire species through the ages in fun, albeit tricky mini-games!

EVOLVE is a 2D casual game where players experience life from its very beginning — evolving from a single cell to the dawn of human civilization and beyond through a series of fun and challenging mini-games. The player’s performance in each mini-game determines the outcome of evolution — and ultimately, which ending they get!

• Era-based mini-games - Each era through history introduces unique, skill-based mini-games. 
• Choice-Driven Evolution -  Your decisions shape how species evolve, which civilizations rise, and which fade into history.
• Multiple Endings - Your performance in each of the mini-games shapes the destiny of life on Earth! Strive to experience all the unique endings in the game! 

Controls 

• Most of, if not the entire game utilizes only basic mouse drags and clicks! Additional controls information can be found in the game. 

This game was made for the BYOG 2025 Game Jam where we were tasked with  creating a playable game within 72 hours, using atleast one of the following three themes: 

Re: {Think, Mix, Make} 

We chose to incorporate all the three themes for our game: 

1. Rethink: Players rethink the story and beginning of life itself. 

2. Remixing: Every decision the player undertakes reshapes evolution, remixing the course of life itself which leads to multiple engaging playthroughs. 

3. Remake: The timeline of life as the player knows it, has been completely remade through their performance in the mini-games and the choices they undertake.
